FAQs
The bracket connecting the frame to my machine seems a bit loose. How should I tighten it properly?
The brackets should be firmly hand-tightened to keep the MaggieFrame magnetic hoop stable on your Brother PR600 or PR1000E embroidery machine. If they feel loose, use the included screwdriver to secure the screws attaching the bracket to the frame, not the machine. Avoid over-tightening to prevent metal stress and maintain smooth hooping performance.
Will the magnetic strength weaken over time? What is the expected lifespan?
MaggieFrame magnetic hoops use high-grade neodymium magnets engineered to last for decades without noticeable weakening. These magnets retain their magnetic force through daily embroidery use, even with frequent fabric changes. With proper care, the hoop remains a long-term, one-time investment for your embroidery machine workflow.
I mainly embroider t-shirt logos. Which frame size is the most appropriate for me?
For small or left-chest t-shirt logos, the 4″ × 4″ (100 × 100 mm) or 5″ × 5″ (130 × 130 mm) magnetic hoops provide the best control and alignment. If you embroider full-front designs or larger patterns, consider the 10″ × 10″ (255 × 255 mm) option. These MaggieFrame hoops deliver efficient fabric tension and quick setup for your Brother PR series embroidery projects.
When using this magnetic frame, should the stabilizer be placed inside the frame or floated outside of it?
For most fabrics, it’s recommended to sandwich the stabilizer with the fabric between both frames of the MaggieFrame magnetic hoop for firm tension on Brother PR600 or PR1000E models. However, you can also “float” the stabilizer beneath the bottom frame when working with bulky or delicate materials. Both methods maintain hoop stability and consistent stitch quality.
