FAQs
Is the fabric tension provided by this magnetic frame more even than traditional hoops?
Yes. The MaggieFrame magnetic embroidery hoop for COS models uses a continuous magnetic field that evenly secures the fabric across the entire frame. This balanced tension minimizes puckering, shifting, or sagging, leading to precise and stable stitches. It produces higher-quality embroidery outcomes and is ideal for both light and heavy fabrics alike.
Compared to my machine's original round hoop, what are the advantages of using this square magnetic frame for logos?
A square magnetic embroidery frame like the MaggieFrame 12.6″ × 3.9″ (320 × 100 mm) offers a larger, more practical sewing field for logos, which are usually rectangular. The straight edges help align the design precisely on garments, improving layout efficiency and reducing alignment errors during machine embroidery work on COS embroidery machines.
Is it necessary to use protective stickers on the frame to prevent it from scratching the fabric?
No, the MaggieFrame magnetic embroidery hoop is engineered with a smooth, fine-coated surface that is safe for most embroidery fabrics. While additional protection such as painter’s tape can be applied for extremely delicate or slippery materials, it’s generally not required due to the hoop’s non-abrasive magnet design and precision finish.
Can this magnetic hoop handle thick or difficult items like zippered bags or heavy jackets?
Yes. The strong magnets in the MaggieFrame embroidery hoop make it easy to hoop bulky or irregular materials such as denim jackets, tote bags, and padded fabrics that are difficult to manage with standard hoops. It provides consistent grip without stretching or damaging the fabric, ensuring secure positioning for COS and other industrial embroidery machines.
