FAQs
I mainly embroider polo logos. How do I choose between different hoop sizes?
For polo or chest logos, a 5-inch hoop is the most popular because it keeps the design centered and stable while saving stabilizer material. However, the MaggieFrame 7-inch embroidery magnetic hoop provides additional space for larger or stacked text. Both hoops fit CBL single-head and multi-head machines easily, so the best choice depends on the logo dimensions.
Is the fabric tension of this MaggieFrame magnetic hoop more even than traditional hoops?
Yes. The MaggieFrame magnetic hoop keeps fabric tension consistent through a continuous magnetic field across its 9.5″ × 9.5″ (240 × 240 mm) surface. This even pressure helps prevent puckering and shifting during embroidery runs on CBL-1201SC or CBL-1506CH machines, resulting in cleaner stitch quality and more accurate designs, even on stretchy or layered fabrics.
Are there situations when a traditional screw hoop might work better than a magnetic one?
While the MaggieFrame magnetic hoop is ideal for 95% of embroidery jobs, some users find a standard screw hoop more effective for very rigid or bulky items like boot tongues or thick leather. These materials sometimes require extra drum-tight tension. For most apparel and accessories on CBL embroidery machines, the magnetic hoop ensures faster setup and fewer adjustments.
What can I do if the magnetic frame shifts slightly during dense stitch designs?
This rarely occurs thanks to MaggieFrame’s strong magnets, but if shifting happens, check that the CBL machine brackets are firmly tightened and properly matched. Use a suitable stabilizer, and for highly dense designs on slippery fabric, add a light non-slip liner between the hoop and material. This improves grip while maintaining embroidery accuracy and magnet performance.
