FAQs
Why did my needle hit the edge of the MaggieFrame magnetic hoop?
This usually happens if the selected hoop size in your HIGHLAND embroidery machine software is larger than the actual 8.5″ × 9″ (215 × 230 mm) sewing field, or if the design itself was digitized too large. Always choose the correct or smaller hoop size and perform a trace test before starting embroidery to avoid needle strikes and potential machine damage.
Can the magnets in this embroidery hoop interfere with pacemakers or sensitive electronics?
Yes. As with all strong magnetic embroidery frames, the MaggieFrame magnetic hoop should be kept away from individuals with pacemakers or other medical implants, and from sensitive electronics. If you have medical concerns, please consult your physician before use. Handle and store the hoop safely to maintain both magnetic strength and personal safety.
What types of embroidery designs is the 8.5″ × 9″ (215 × 230 mm) MaggieFrame magnetic hoop ideal for?
This hoop size is perfect for left-chest logos, children’s garment designs, medium towel embroidery, sleeves, or personalized patches. It provides a stable grip for various fabrics on industrial HIGHLAND machines like the HM-1501 and 1502, maintaining strong tension and accuracy without leaving hoop marks on your finished embroidery pieces.
How should I clean and maintain my MaggieFrame magnetic hoop for long-lasting performance?
To maintain optimal magnetic force and smooth operation, regularly wipe the hoop surfaces with a soft, dry cloth to remove lint or residues. Avoid abrasive cleaners or immersing it in water. Ensure metal brackets are tightened properly. When not in use, store the magnetic hoops separately to prevent demagnetization and to preserve their strong holding power over years of use.
