FAQs
If I switch all the stations on my multi-head machine to these magnetic hoops, what increase in throughput can I expect?
By using MaggieFrame magnetic hoops on a multi-head Avance embroidery machine, efficiency gains multiply significantly. Saving 30–60 seconds per hooping per head adds up over an 8-hour shift, resulting in up to 15–25% higher daily throughput. The quick magnetic latch reduces downtime and improves consistency across all embroidery heads.
What type of magnets does the MaggieFrame magnetic hoop use, and how strong are they?
Each MaggieFrame magnetic embroidery frame is equipped with high-grade N52 neodymium magnets, known for their exceptional strength and lasting performance. These permanent magnets create a firm, even hold on fabric layers, minimizing slippage during embroidery. The magnet design also ensures secure positioning without the need for excessive clamping pressure.
Are there situations where a traditional screw-type hoop might work better than this magnetic version?
While magnetic hoops like MaggieFrame deliver faster and easier hooping for most applications, some users still prefer traditional screw hoops for extremely thick or rigid materials such as dense leather or heavy boot tongues, where extra mechanical tension is needed. For garments, bags, towels, or standard fabrics, the magnetic embroidery hoop provides superior speed and stability.
How effectively does this magnetic hoop grip slippery materials like silk or nylon?
The MaggieFrame magnetic hoop grips smooth fabrics such as silk, nylon, or satin remarkably well. Its even magnetic pressure holds the material securely without distortion, reducing slippage commonly seen with standard embroidery hoops. For optimal results on delicate textiles, pair with appropriate stabilizers as you would with traditional embroidery frames.
