FAQs

Do you offer any accessory to work with this magnetic hoop for garment positioning?

Yes, we offer the Hooptalent hooping station fixture designed to work seamlessly with the MaggieFrame magnetic hoop. It helps users position garments quickly and accurately, improving consistency and reducing preparation time for embroidery on ETM models. Other generic hooping stations may not properly align with magnetic hoops.

Is it necessary to use protective stickers on the MaggieFrame magnetic embroidery hoop?

Protective stickers are not required. The MaggieFrame magnetic embroidery hoop features a smooth, polished contact surface that prevents scratching or marking of fabrics. For ultra-delicate or slippery materials like silk or nylon, optional painter’s tape can be applied for added grip, but it’s rarely needed for most embroidery fabrics.

I mainly embroider T-shirt logos. Which MaggieFrame hoop size should I choose?

For small or left-chest T-shirt logos, the 4″ × 4″ (100 × 100 mm) magnetic hoop is the most popular and efficient choice. It provides a tight, stable hold during high-speed embroidery. For full-front or large artwork, a 10″ × 10″ (260 × 260 mm) or larger hoop is recommended. Both options are compatible with most ETM embroidery machines.

Are there situations where a traditional screw hoop performs better than a magnetic hoop?

While magnetic hoops like MaggieFrame suit nearly all embroidery tasks, a traditional screw hoop may be preferred for extremely thick or rigid materials that demand maximum surface tension. However, for the majority of apparel, caps, towels, and soft goods on ETM industrial machines, magnetic hoops deliver faster setup and consistent alignment.
