FAQs
Will such strong magnets interfere with the electronics of my Rainbow embroidery machine?
No. MaggieFrame magnetic hoops are 100% safe for your machine. Their magnetic field is confined to the hoop area and will not affect the Rainbow embroidery machine's motor or computer board. Just avoid leaving the hoop directly touching the control box when not in use. During normal embroidery operations, there is no risk of interference.
Is the magnetic strength sufficient for thick materials like denim or jackets?
Yes, this MaggieFrame magnetic hoop for Rainbow machines uses industrial-grade magnets that firmly grip heavy fabrics such as leather, quilted materials, and Carhartt-style jackets. The magnetic hoops maintain stable tension even on multi-layer embroidery items, preventing fabric movement or shifting during high-speed stitching.
Does this magnetic frame provide more even tension compared to regular hoops?
Absolutely. The MaggieFrame magnetic frame delivers continuous, balanced force around the full 17″ × 15.5″ (430 × 390 mm) embroidery area. This even tension minimizes puckering and distortion, ensuring a smooth surface for precise stitching on Rainbow RBE series embroidery machines and creating crisp outlines and detailed stitch-outs every time.
My needle hit the edge of the frame. What caused this and how can I avoid it?
This issue occurs when the selected hoop size in your Rainbow embroidery machine software is larger than the MaggieFrame magnetic hoop’s sewing field, or the design exceeds the frame's limit. Always match the correct hoop size in your settings and perform a trace or outline test before stitching to prevent needle strike and frame contact.
