FAQs
Why is my fabric puckering in the center during embroidery, even though I hooped it tightly with the magnetic frame?
Fabric puckering usually points to a stabilizer mismatch rather than a hooping fault. For your Blue Sky embroidery machine, always pair MaggieFrame magnetic hoops with the correct type and weight of stabilizer—such as cut-away for knits or tear-away for woven fabrics. Make sure the fabric is not stretched within the 3.9″ × 12.8″ (100 × 320 mm) hoop area to maintain balanced tension.
If I lose a bracket or a magnet breaks, can I purchase replacement parts individually?
Yes. MaggieFrame offers individual replacement parts for magnetic hoops used on Blue Sky embroidery machine models, including brackets, screws, and magnet assemblies. Keeping spares ensures that your embroidery hoop continues performing reliably for years with minimal downtime in your production workflow.
I mainly embroider polo logos. How do I choose between different hoop sizes?
For polo or chest logo designs, many Blue Sky users prefer hoops around 5″ for compact placements. However, a 7″ magnetic embroidery hoop allows a bit more room for stacked text or larger logos. Selecting the right hoop size depends on your artwork, garment thickness, and how much stabilization the design needs during stitching.
When using this magnetic frame, should the stabilizer be placed inside the frame or 'floated' outside of it?
Both methods work well with MaggieFrame magnetic hoops on Blue Sky machines. For most fabrics, sandwich the stabilizer directly with the fabric inside the hoop for maximum hold. When dealing with bulky or delicate materials, floating the stabilizer underneath the bottom frame can protect fabric texture while still keeping the embroidery surface smooth and even.
