FAQs
What type of magnets does this frame use, and how strong are they?
The MaggieFrame 12″ × 11.5″ (305 × 295 mm) magnetic embroidery hoop for Anysew machines uses high-grade N52 neodymium magnets. These magnets are extremely powerful, offering a permanent magnetic force that firmly holds thick or layered fabrics. This magnetic hoop embroidery setup ensures consistent tension and stability during high-speed stitching.
Why does my fabric pucker in the center even when it’s hooped tightly?
Fabric puckering is usually a stabilizer issue rather than a hooping one. When using this magnetic embroidery frame, make sure to select the correct stabilizer type and weight—such as a cut-away stabilizer for knits—and avoid stretching the fabric before securing it. Proper pairing of fabric and stabilizer keeps your embroidery smooth and balanced.
Will the magnetic strength weaken over time, and what is the lifespan?
The N52 neodymium magnets inside the MaggieFrame magnetic hoop are designed for decades of use without losing force. These permanent magnets maintain stable strength even under frequent production conditions. It’s a one-time investment that remains reliable, ensuring consistent grip across all Anysew embroidery machine models you use.
Should I buy a complete set of magnetic frames or just the one size I use most often?
If you mainly stitch certain items, start with the 12″ × 11.5″ (305 × 295 mm) size. Many users later expand their magnetic hoops embroidery collection to cover multiple hoop sizes once they see the gains in speed and versatility. A full set helps optimize workflow across various fabrics and embroidery job types.
