FAQs
The bracket connecting the frame to my machine seems a bit loose. How should I tighten it properly?
The brackets should be firmly hand-tightened to your BAI embroidery machine. If they feel loose, use a screwdriver to secure the screws connecting the bracket to the hoop main part, not the machine. Ensure the magnetic embroidery frame is stable before operating, but avoid over-tightening to prevent thread tension issues and frame distortion during embroidery.
Are there any pro-tips for using this magnetic frame with very thin or stretchy fabrics like silk or Spandex?
When working with delicate or elastic fabrics, avoid stretching them in the MaggieFrame hoop. Lay the fabric and stabilizer smoothly on the bottom frame, and allow the strong magnets of the magnetic embroidery hoop to hold it gently. This ensures even tension without puckering, ideal for BAI Mirror 1501 projects that demand precise fabric control.
Should I buy a complete set of magnetic frames, or just the one size I use most often?
If you’re new to MaggieFrame magnetic embroidery hoops, start with the size that fits your most common embroidery area, such as the 8.7″ × 5″ (220 × 130 mm). Many BAI embroidery users later add more magnetic frames to match different garment sizes and fabrics, improving convenience and workflow flexibility across multiple embroidery designs.
When using this magnetic frame, should the stabilizer be placed inside the frame or 'floated' outside of it?
For best results, sandwich the stabilizer with the fabric inside your MaggieFrame magnetic embroidery hoop. This gives stable stitching on most materials. However, for bulky or hard-to-hoop garments, you can float the stabilizer under the bottom magnetic frame. This method works well on items like hoodies or towels in BAI Mirror series machines.
