FAQs
Is it necessary to use protective stickers on the frame to prevent it from scratching the fabric?
The MaggieFrame magnetic embroidery hoop has a smooth, rounded finish that is safe for most fabrics, including cotton, fleece, and blends. Protective stickers are not required, but for ultra-slippery materials like silk, you can add a thin painter’s tape layer to enhance grip and keep the embroidery area stable during operation.
Are there any situations where using a traditional screw hoop would be better than this magnetic frame?
While magnetic embroidery hoops are faster and easier for most projects, a traditional screw hoop may be preferred when working with very rigid or thick items such as boot leather or multi-layer canvas. For apparel, caps, towels, or jackets, the MaggieFrame magnetic embroidery frame provides superior convenience and tension consistency.
Do you offer any accessory to work with this frame for positioning on garments?
Yes, MaggieFrame offers the HoopTalent hooping station fixture, designed to align perfectly with each magnetic embroidery hoop for MYSEW machines. It helps users achieve accurate garment placement and speeds up the hooping process for consistent results, especially useful for mass production embroidery or logo positioning tasks.
Why is my fabric puckering in the center during embroidery, even though I hooped it tightly with the magnetic frame?
Fabric puckering usually comes from stabilizer or tension issues, not from the magnetic embroidery frame itself. Use a stabilizer that matches your fabric type—cut-away for knits or tear-away for wovens—and avoid stretching the material while hooping. Proper stabilizer weight helps ensure smooth embroidery results with MYSEW models like MHS1201 and MHS1501.
