FAQs
What types of embroidery designs is the 3.9″ × 12.8″ (100 × 320 mm) MaggieFrame hoop best for?
This elongated magnetic embroidery hoop size suits sleeve logos, long lettering, pant legs, towel borders, and narrow side designs. When used on MAXIMA embroidery machines like CTF-1201 or FY-1206, it gives excellent tension across long stitch paths. It’s also perfect for decorative trims and multi-position patterns that require stable magnetic holding and smooth fabric alignment.
Will the magnetic strength of the MaggieFrame hoop weaken over time?
No. MaggieFrame magnetic embroidery hoops use high-grade neodymium magnets with extremely long lifespans. They retain their magnetic force for decades under normal use and do not demagnetize easily. This makes the hoop a one-time investment for your MAXIMA, Ricoma, or Tajima embroidery machines—offering stable, consistent fabric hold for years of production.
Why does my fabric pucker in the center when using the MaggieFrame magnetic hoop?
Fabric puckering is rarely caused by the magnetic frame itself. It is usually due to choosing the wrong stabilizer or over-stretching the fabric. Use the correct stabilizer type and weight—such as cut-away for knits or tear-away for woven fabric—when hooping on your MAXIMA embroidery machine. Make sure the material rests naturally within the magnetic embroidery frame to achieve flat, smooth stitching results.
If I convert all MAXIMA multi-head stations to MaggieFrame magnetic hoops, will my throughput improve?
Yes. Replacing all traditional hoops with MaggieFrame magnetic embroidery hoops on multi-head machines reduces hooping time by 30–60 seconds per station. Over an eight-hour production shift, this efficiency can raise total daily output by roughly 15–25%. It not only speeds up fabric setup but also ensures uniform tension, leading to fewer re-hoops and steady embroidery machine efficiency.
