FAQs
Is the fabric tension provided by this magnetic frame more even than traditional hoops? How does this benefit embroidery quality?
Yes. The MaggieFrame magnetic embroidery frame maintains consistent tension across the entire hooping area through a strong continuous magnetic force. Unlike traditional clamping hoops, there are no pressure points or distortions, which prevents puckering and shifting. This ensures cleaner, more precise stitch-outs on UltraStitch embroidery machines, improving overall embroidery quality and stability.
Compared to my machine's original round hoop, what are the advantages of using this square magnetic frame for logos?
A square magnetic hoop offers a more practical sewing area for logos or rectangular designs. Its flat sides help align garments or materials more easily during hooping, minimizing repositioning time. The MaggieFrame 7.6″ × 2.7″ (195 × 70 mm) hoop gives more usable space for name patches or chest logos on UltraStitch machines, resulting in faster setup and improved alignment accuracy.
What should I do if I notice the fabric slipping slightly during the embroidery process?
If fabric slipping occurs, first confirm that the stabilizer strength matches your design density. Extremely thick or slippery garments may need non-slip grip tape along the frame edge. Also, ensure the hoop size suits your design; using a hoop too large can allow fabric movement. With proper setup on UltraStitch embroidery machines, the MaggieFrame magnetic hoop typically keeps fabric firmly in place.
Are there any pro tips for using this magnetic frame with very thin or stretchy fabrics like silk or Spandex?
Yes. When working with delicate or elastic fabrics, avoid stretching the material during hooping. Place the stabilizer and fabric smoothly on the bottom frame, then let the top magnetic frame attach gently by its own weight. This method prevents over-tensioning and puckering. With even magnetic pressure, the MaggieFrame magnetic hoop ensures perfect results on thin and stretchy fabrics.
