FAQs

The bracket connecting the frame to my machine seems a bit loose. How should I tighten it properly?

The brackets should be hand-tightened first. If you notice looseness, use a screwdriver to secure the screws connecting the bracket to the MaggieFrame magnetic hoop frame, not directly to your DOIT embroidery machine. Tighten until snug, but avoid over-tightening to prevent damage. Regular checks ensure optimal hoop stability and embroidery accuracy.

Can I use this frame to complete a design larger than the frame itself by using a re-hooping technique?

Yes, the MaggieFrame magnetic embroidery hoop allows effortless re-hooping for extended designs. Slide your fabric within the 6.9″ × 6.9″ (175 × 175 mm) area, then re-snap the frame to continue stitching seamlessly. It’s especially helpful for continuous designs like borders or banners and more efficient than traditional embroidery hoops on DOIT models.

Are the top and bottom parts of the magnetic frame symmetrical, or do they have a specific orientation?

The MaggieFrame magnetic embroidery frame uses a precisely aligned top and bottom half that fit together only one way. Both parts contain evenly distributed magnets to grip fabric securely on your DOIT embroidery machines. This unique orientation ensures even tension and consistent results across every embroidery project.

Why is my fabric puckering in the center during embroidery, even though I hooped it tightly with the magnetic frame?

Fabric puckering typically relates to stabilizer choice rather than hoop tension. For the MaggieFrame magnetic hoop, ensure you’re using the appropriate stabilizer weight—cut-away for knits and tear-away for woven fabrics. Keep material smooth and avoid stretching when hooping. Proper stabilizer balance helps maintain crisp embroidery results on DOIT machines.
