FAQs

I mainly embroider t-shirt logos. Which frame size is the most appropriate for me?

For left-chest or sleeve logos, the 4″ × 4″ (100 × 100 mm) or 5″ × 5″ (130 × 130 mm) magnetic embroidery hoop fits perfectly. For larger full-front designs, a 10″ × 10″ (260 × 260 mm) or bigger magnetic hoop from MaggieFrame is ideal. These embroidery hoops provide reliable hold and smooth surface tension for consistent stitch quality.

I need to embroider a very small item like a tie or sock. Can I float these items on top of this frame?

Yes. The MaggieFrame 6.5″ × 6.5″ (165 × 165 mm) magnetic hoop for Holiauma allows easy floating. Hoop a piece of sticky stabilizer or base fabric, and then place the small item over it. This method gives better control than forcing tiny items into rigid frames, keeping your material flat and protected from damage.

Will my embroidery machine automatically recognize this frame’s size, or do I need to set it manually?

Like most third-party magnetic embroidery hoops, users need to manually set the 6.5″ × 6.5″ (165 × 165 mm) size in the Holiauma machine settings. Input the hoop measurements in your embroidery software and ensure your design fits the active sewing field to avoid border stitching issues. This ensures accurate alignment and clean output placement.

What should I do if I notice the fabric slipping slightly during the embroidery process?

If fabric slips, check that your stabilizer weight matches the design density. Thicker or slippery fabrics may need a non-slip grip tape on the magnetic hoop. Also ensure you’re not using a hoop too large for the embroidery area, which can cause minor movement. Proper hooping setup ensures optimal tension with MaggieFrame magnetic hoops.
