FAQs
The bracket connecting the frame to my machine seems a bit loose. How should I tighten it properly?
The brackets for your MaggieFrame magnetic hoop for WAF embroidery machine should be hand-tightened firmly. If you notice any looseness, use a screwdriver to snugly secure the screws connecting the bracket to the frame, not directly to the machine. Avoid over-tightening, as that can distort alignment and affect your magnetic hoop embroidery performance.
Are there any pro-tips for using this magnetic frame with very thin or stretchy fabrics to prevent over-stretching?
When using your MaggieFrame magnetic hoop on delicate materials like silk or Spandex, do not stretch the fabric while hooping. Lay a stabilizer beneath, position the fabric smoothly on the lower frame, and allow the top frame's magnets to secure it gently. This prevents distortion and puckering, maintaining quality embroidery results across all magnetic hoops embroidery projects.
My needle hit the edge of the frame (a needle strike). Why did this happen and how can I prevent it?
Needle strikes on the MaggieFrame magnetic hoop usually occur when the hoop size chosen in the embroidery software is larger than the actual sewing area, or the design exceeds the available field. Always select the correct hoop size for your WAF embroidery model and perform a trace test before stitching to ensure smooth and safe embroidery operation.
I need to embroider a very small item like a tie or sock. Can I float these items on top of this frame?
Yes, the 10.5″ × 12.4″ (265 × 315 mm) MaggieFrame magnetic hoop is ideal for floating small items. Simply secure a sticky stabilizer or base fabric on the hoop, then position your tie, sock, or similar item on top. The strong magnetic grip keeps the piece stable, providing flexibility and precision for detailed embroidery on compact surfaces.
