FAQs
Can this magnetic frame effectively reduce or eliminate hoop burn on delicate fabrics like velvet or leather?
Yes, strongly. The MaggieFrame magnetic hoop applies even pressure across the material surface without pinching or crushing fibers, unlike traditional embroidery machine hoops. This makes it perfect for sensitive fabrics such as silk, velvet, and leather. Your Garudan embroidery machine will achieve clean, mark-free stitching with steady hold and reduced thread distortion.
When using this magnetic hoop, should the stabilizer be placed inside the frame or floated outside of it?
You can use both methods depending on your project. For most embroidery tasks, placing the stabilizer together with the fabric inside the MaggieFrame hoop ensures consistent tension. For thicker or hard-to-hoop items like bags or sweatshirts, floating the stabilizer beneath the bottom frame also works well. Both setups are fully compatible with Garudan machines, maintaining even thread tension and smooth embroidery.
Will the magnetic strength weaken over time? What is the expected lifespan?
MaggieFrame magnetic hoops use high-grade Neodymium magnets known for their durability and extended lifespan. They retain over 95% of their magnetic force even after decades of use, making them a one-time investment. With proper care, your embroidery frame for Garudan will continue providing secure, consistent fabric holding without performance loss through years of daily operation.
How much efficiency improvement can I expect when using MaggieFrame hoops on multi-head Garudan machines?
Switching all heads on your Garudan multi-needle machine to MaggieFrame magnetic hoops can raise productivity notably. By cutting about 30–60 seconds per hooping per head, an 8-hour embroidery shift may see a 15–25% boost in overall throughput. This efficiency gain comes from faster fabric placement, reduced rehooping time, and better alignment accuracy across heads.
