FAQs
Q:Will this embroidery hoop fit my BAI machine?
A:This embroidery hoop is compatible with BAI machines that use the matching Hoop Length. Select the correct "Hoop Length" option when ordering, and the hoop will mount and run like your original hoop.
Not using a BAI machine? We also make magnetic hoops for most embroidery machine brands—shop by brand on our Hoop Collections page and order from the matching listing to ensure proper fit.
Q:What is the inside hoop size and the effective embroidery area?
A:The inside hoop size is 9.5″ × 9.5″ (240 × 240 mm).
To avoid stitching too close to the frame edge (and reduce the risk of needle strikes), the effective embroidery area is typically about 2 cm (0.8") smaller than the inside size.
Q:Do you offer other hoop sizes? How do I choose the right size?
A:Yes. We offer 17 hoop sizes (3.9"×3.9" to 17"×15.5").
How to choose:
1.Make sure the hoop’s inside size is within your machine’s max embroidery area (or your largest original hoop).
2.Take your design size and add 2 cm (≈0.8") to both width and height, then choose the next hoop size up for comfortable clearance.
Q:My machine only accepts certain hoop sizes—will this hoop still work?
A:In most cases, yes. If you can’t select an exact hoop size, choose the closest preset size and use Trace/Outline to confirm the needle path stays within the safe area. Trace is the most reliable way to prevent stitching into the frame when presets don’t match perfectly.
Q:What should I do if the hoop doesn’t fit or feels misaligned after installation?
A:Most fitment issues come from a Hoop Length mismatch or bracket orientation. Double‑check that:
You selected the correct Hoop Length?
The brackets are installed in the correct direction?
All screws are tightened evenly?
If it still doesn’t fit, send us your machine model + photos of your current hoop/bracket setup, and we’ll guide you to the correct match.
