FAQs
Can I use this magnetic embroidery hoop and my original traditional hoops on my Rainbow machine at the same time?
Yes. As long as you choose the same hoop length, you can alternate between this MaggieFrame magnetic embroidery hoop and your traditional embroidery frames based on your project needs. This flexibility allows operators of Rainbow models like RBE4060 or RBE4050 to manage different material types efficiently without reconfiguring the machine setup.
If I have computers or USB drives near my embroidery station, could the strong magnets affect my devices?
It’s recommended to keep strong magnets such as those in MaggieFrame magnetic embroidery hoops at a safe distance, at least 50 cm, from magnetic media and electronics like USB drives, external hard disks, and phones. Although typical embroidery environments are safe, maintaining this buffer ensures no interference with sensitive devices while operating your Rainbow embroidery machines.
Is it necessary to use protective stickers on the MaggieFrame magnetic hoop to avoid scratching the fabric?
No protective stickers are usually needed. MaggieFrame magnetic embroidery frames are built with a smooth contact surface that is safe for most fabrics, including cotton, fleece, and polyester. However, for very delicate or slippery materials, some embroiderers prefer adding a light painter’s tape layer for extra grip without affecting the magnetic hold or the embroidery quality.
When using this magnetic embroidery hoop, should the stabilizer be placed under or inside the frame?
For most Rainbow embroidery machines, it’s recommended to sandwich the stabilizer between the fabric layers inside the MaggieFrame magnetic embroidery hoop. This helps maintain even tension and prevents fabric shifting. For bulky or irregular items such as towels or jackets, the stabilizer may also be floated underneath to simplify removal and avoid compression marks.
