FAQs
Will the strong magnets affect the electronics of my SEEING embroidery machine?
No, the magnets in the MaggieFrame magnetic embroidery hoop are completely safe for SEEING machines. Under normal use, they will not interfere with any computer or electronic parts. Simply avoid placing the hoop directly against the control box. These magnetic embroidery hoops are thoroughly tested for safety and reliable operation across industrial embroidery setups.
How well does the MaggieFrame hoop hold slippery fabrics like silk or nylon?
The MaggieFrame magnetic hoop offers strong and even pressure that grips slippery materials such as silk, nylon, or satin firmly in place. Unlike conventional hoops that may allow slippage, this hoop’s uniform magnetic tension ensures consistent fabric stability. For optimal results, continue using your preferred stabilizer when hooping delicate textiles on SEEING embroidery machines.
Can this magnetic hoop reduce hoop marks on delicate fabrics like velvet or leather?
Yes. The MaggieFrame magnetic hoop’s smooth magnetic pressure significantly reduces or eliminates hoop burn on sensitive fabrics such as velvet, leather, or suede. Because it does not pinch the fabric, it maintains a clean surface without crushing pile or texture. This feature makes it ideal for advanced embroidery work on luxury materials and large SEEING machine projects.
What causes needle strikes on the magnetic frame and how can I prevent them?
Needle strikes generally occur if the selected hoop size in your SEEING embroidery software is larger than the hoop’s physical sewing field, or if the design exceeds the stitching area. Always choose the correct or smaller hoop size for your MaggieFrame magnetic hoop and perform a trace test before starting. This ensures precise alignment and prevents costly needle hits during machine embroidery.
