Should I buy a complete set of magnetic frames, or just the one size I use most often?
We recommend starting with the hoop size you use most frequently, such as the 17″ × 15.5″ (430 × 390 mm) magnetic hoop embroidery frame. Once you see the efficiency and fabric control it brings to your Smartstitch embroidery machine, you may consider adding more magnetic frames to handle a full range of garment types and hooping areas efficiently.
I feel like the magnetic frame is shifting slightly on the machine during high-stitch-count designs. How can I fix this?
This is uncommon with MaggieFrame magnetic hoops for Smartstitch. Check that your machine brackets are firmly tightened and that you are using the proper stabilizer. For very dense embroidery designs on slick fabrics, you can place a thin non-slip material between the hoop and fabric to reinforce the magnetic hold and ensure smooth, precise stitching performance.
When using this magnetic frame, should the stabilizer be placed inside the frame or floated outside of it?
For most embroidery projects, it is best to sandwich the stabilizer and fabric inside the MaggieFrame magnetic embroidery hoop for optimal tension. However, floating the stabilizer beneath the hoop is also effective for thick garments or items that are hard to clamp, allowing safer hooping without stretching or distorting the embroidery area.
What material is the frame itself made of? Is it durable and resistant to warping?
