FAQs
I mainly embroider t-shirt logos. Which frame size is the most appropriate for me?
For left-chest or small logo embroidery, a 4″×4″ (100×100 mm) or 5″×5″ (125×125 mm) MaggieFrame magnetic hoop is ideal. These sizes provide excellent fabric control and limit distortion on thin materials. For full-front or larger decorative designs, you can use sizes around 10″×10″ or larger. Matching hoop size to your embroidery area optimizes stability and stitch accuracy on TSM machines.
What should I do if I notice the fabric slipping slightly during the embroidery process?
Fabric slipping is uncommon with a MaggieFrame magnet hoop but may happen if the stabilizer is too light for dense stitching or if the fabric is slippery, such as satin. In that case, using a stronger stabilizer or non-slip grip tape on the frame can help. Also, ensure the hoop size fits your embroidery design so the fabric remains taut across the magnetic area for consistent results.
The bracket connecting the frame to my machine seems a bit loose. How should I tighten it properly?
To secure the bracket on your MaggieFrame embroidery frame, check that the screws connecting the metal bracket to the hoop body are snug. Use the included screwdriver to hand-tighten them gently without over-torque. Avoid tightening screws on the machine head itself; the goal is stable bracket alignment for smooth installation on TSM embroidery machine arms.
When using this magnetic frame, should the stabilizer be placed inside the frame or 'floated' outside of it?
Both methods work effectively with MaggieFrame magnetic hoops for TSM machines. For most garments or flat fabrics, it’s best to sandwich the stabilizer with the fabric inside the hoop for maximum stability. For bulky garments or thick material like hoodies or towels, floating the stabilizer underneath gives flexibility and prevents compression marks on the embroidery surface.
